It could be one of my most favorite front rock photos I have shot, - TopicsExpress

It could be one of my most favorite front rock photos I have shot, if you know where this is then I am waisting my breath but for all you that dont, it is now where the Milwaukie Max rail-line is running. Paralleling the 99 and located directly across from Blush (the strip club), this is why the building was in a demolished state in order to make way for the new train system. We were on our way back from skating the newly constructed Oregon City bridge and headed to the Portland premier of Creatures latest flick, CSFU at Clinton Street Theatre. Cruising on the 99, all of us in the van see this heavy construction site from a far, there was broken up concrete everywhere from little chunks to gigantic boulders mixed with tangled balls of rebar and all types of shit. As we get closer to the site we notice to what appears looks like a somewhat skate-able transition. All of 5 of us have nothing to say to each other before I am already turning into the next closest parking lot, we had about an hour before the video started. I grab my camera and broom and the rest their boards and we head over to the spot. There wasnt even a fence for us to jump and there was concrete rubble scattered all over the sidewalk, creating unsafe conditions for even pedestrian traffic. Long story shot we clean up what we can in order to skate it and session it for about 15 minutes tops, I snap some pics and just as Im thinking I cant believe we havent seen a cop yet I lock eyes with one as he flips his lights and pulls a violent U-turn on 99. All of us immediately jump down and hightail if for the van, which was parked a good 500 feet away, luckily the only parking I could find when we decided to stop, was between two dairy delivery trucks. We all jump in the van and stay low as the cop drives right on by... We couldnt believe it, we waited for another 5 or so minutes and saw the cruiser go by one more time, baffled by where we had run off to. Driving out of that parking lot and onto 17th Street was one of best moments I have ever had with the crew and a story I will remember for the rest of my life.
