It has been a busy year for the Amauta Foundation. Our first - TopicsExpress

It has been a busy year for the Amauta Foundation. Our first birthday is coming up in February of 2015. We wanted to take this opportunity to update everyone on our accomplishments to date. Mission and Vision - In March of 2014 we formally articulated our mission and vision statements. 501(c)(3) - we officially achieved our goal of becoming a full non-profit exempt from federal and state taxes. All donations to the Amauta Foundation are now recognized by the IRS. Board of Directors - we have a fully constituted Board. Earlier this year the Board met to launch the Amauta Foundation Strategic Plan. The plan is almost complete and will be reviewed by the Board in the new year. Amauta Foundation Bylaws and Policies - a subset of the Board of Directors met to author the final version of our Bylaws and Policies. These documents will govern who we will conduct foundation matters. It is a strategic milestone in our young development. Networking - we have been diligently networking with other like-minded organizations in the Bay Area. We have formed some very strategic partnerships with national and local non-profits who are focused on STEM endeavors. Through partnerships we will be able to achieve our goals over the next 5 years. Marketing - we have put together an initial marketing plan to support our initial launch. Stay tuned for our #WhyISucceeded and #WhyIStruggled campaign. Take a look at our video teaser: youtu.be/kF1COoWuu2M I would like to thank our Board and anyone who has helped us along the way. There have been a lot of people involved and only together will we be able to achieve our goals. We are looking forward to 2015 and continuing to grow our Foundation.
