It has been a day...a great day. Today I woke with the intention to cook and prepare for food the WHOLE day in my kitchen for my photo shoot tomorrow for recipes in the new edition of my book The Simplicity Project, but instead... Started off with no access to anything on my phone, I havent been able to call, receive calls or text for 24 hours now. I then lost all FB, email and social media function. Spoke to rogers TWICE, drove to rogers TWICE, ended up at the Apple store TWICE. I thought I would kill some time at chapters while waiting for my second trip to Apple, and stood in line to buy a book. Their was one cashier and her computer froze and we all stood in line for 10 minutes waiting for help. Some people left, I stood there laughing to myself. I made my way back to Apple and still dont have a completely healed phone...were working on it I hopped over to Teavana to grab a tea and the machine started spewing steam and broke. I left with a gift card in hand and the realization, when I looked down, that my zipper had been undone on my jeans for who knows how long. I got back to my car and as I started the ignition witnessed an accident happen directly in front of my car in the parking lot. I waited. Gave me statement and headed back home. I then arrived home to discover the dog had eaten sams mouthguard he needs for hockey tonight and that I forgot to thaw the fish for dinner. BUT, today I also: Had a great breakfast with the kids and sent them off to school. Squeezed in a short workout at the gym. Had a fantastic meeting with my incredible friend Ann Green. Welcomed my smiling monkeys home off the bus. And I was still and silent more in my day today then I have been in weeks. For me this day feels like a win. Thank you dear Universe for the not so gentle nudge to slow down, be quiet and pay attention - AND to make sure my pants are zipped LOL Some days you just have to surrender and say its all good BTW ~ it is not lost on me that for the last few days I have been having numerous conversations with people as to how available we all are and that I miss the days when phones didnt rule our life. Today was a very different GOOD day Jenn xo
