It has been a week for surprises. A few days ago, Alex made known that he wanted to hunt a turkey and cook it on a spit. After my initial shock, I asked whether he intended to eat said turkey; shocked again when he said yes. So I suggested he eat some at Thanksgiving first, to be sure he liked it before he went to the work of hunting one down...and he agreed. I was ready to write it off as a fluke, and really expected it to not happen. Then at lunch today, Alex announced that he wanted a turkey leg. The restaurant didnt happen to serve those - and the only turkey they had was in the form of a salad or sandwich. So he ate a hamburger. This is a big deal because we werent at McDonalds. Then the appetizers came out (chicken livers). Alex took one, and ate it...Im still flabbergasted over that.
