It is almost that time of the week again! Animated Video 2 of 5 - TopicsExpress

It is almost that time of the week again! Animated Video 2 of 5 Day in the Life from Hear Today Films, which is voiced in its entirety by Oscar-Nominated Actor Stephen Rea, will be released online to the Facebook universe and to the Twittersphere tomorrow. **** THURSDAY 19th at 7pm.***** These films will be especially of interest to people with good hearing ! Maybe people who dont know much about Hearing Loss, and are curious to know more. Hearing Loss is incredibly common and, I think, it is a really good idea to know how to communicate with a person who is Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing. They are 2 minutes long, and with them we hope to bring practical, helpful tips and strategies for communicating with people with Hearing Loss to EVERYONE. We also hope to provide an insight into life with a Hearing Loss and promote healthy hearing habits. Remember, (as I learned myself recently) to have disability is to be in a society which fails to cater for your specific abilities - as opposed to having a personal lacking ! So its in all our best interests to learn, and to remove the barriers ! You can discuss the films here on facebook, or go on twitter @heartodayfilms with the hashtag #heartoday It has been a very good week ! Much to my surprise I was contacted today and interviewed by the Connacht Tribune today in relation to Hear Today Films, my short film Unheard and our upcoming screenings in Jerusalem in Early April ! I also talked about my experience of Hearing Loss, being a musician and piano teacher, and my filmmaking hopes. Will post it up here when it available - the interview will feature in this or next weeks issue. Very exciting !! You can read our press release in Film Ireland here: filmireland.net/2014/03/13/ihha-set-to-release-five-animated-short-films/ You can still watch Video 1of 5, here: Cocoon. https://youtube/watch?v=AFmuui0Ow1k Last of all, a big thank you, thank you very much to everyone on facebook and twitter who watched, shared and responded this week! I am genuinely grateful to those who did - Your comments have been lovely, and even better, some of your insights have been eye-opening! It is a big thing for me to put my heart out on my sleeve like this, but as you guys know we are trying to get these animations reach as many people as possible - the dream is to educate IRELAND, and to educate the INTERNET. People need to know all about Hearing Loss. Its important and its real. So share... share.... share.... and learn, and chat ! And thank you again. Until tomorrow! -Carla x
