It is days like today that I cherish and will remember forever!!! I know many out there do not have the opportunity that I have to spend quality time with their father and I dont mean to rub it in but..... Today I think will be one of the most memorable I have had in a long time. Dad and I went pheasant hunting with a good friend of mine and we struck gold. As mentioned in my previous post we flushed 17 birds and had a great time. The number of birds was not what was so memorable but the look on his face and the constant passion he shows for the outdoors hits a soft spot in my heart. On our first flush we had two birds go out simultaneously and when I watched a man I have admired my entire life spring into action like he was 20 years old... I almost could not concentrate on the bird I was aiming for. There are times in a mans life that you appreciate your father even more than you thought possible and today was one of those times! Thanks dad for bringing me up to love the outdoors, hunting and the fellowship that goes hand in hand. I only hope to live up to any expectations you ever had for a son.
