It is hard to watch Christians who do not reach their full potential in knowing and serving the Lord. Have you ever sat back and asked, whats holding them or us back, preventing us from being all God has set us a part to be? I know I sure have, let me give you a couple that rise to the top of my list, 1) I just dont want to! I am to busy doing what I want. My time is spent on my hobbies instead of what will honor the Lord the most in the time Ive been given. Dont get me wrong it is not wrong to have hobbies, but it is wrong to let the hobbies control our time 2) The second thing that hinders us from reaching our full potential for the Lord is not keeping short accounts in the sin category, you know not confessing & repenting of our sin, what ever they might be. It is very seldom the big sins that hinder us but those small little ones, like a lustful thought, worry, jealousy, gossip, coarse jesting doubt, fear, or many others like these . Solomon teaches us that it is the little foxes that destroy the fields, never the big ones. I think that is so true. I dont want to short change God with the life He has entrusted me, so what are we to do? Well, friend, I love the encouraging/challenging words from Hebrews 12, Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. When I fix my eyes on Jesus, and who He is and what He has done for me, I am not going to short change Him & neither will you. Make we each make the most of our day for His glory!
