It is never to late to change... If open to change. Some things Ive learned from my children.... to think before speaking, Would you say, (what you are about to say) this to your best friend... There in lies respect... If you do say it, be a bigger person to immediately apologize and ask for forgiveness, it takes time to heal yet love forgives. Here are some things I think could be a marriage saver and continued practice after the children leave home, your marriage wont be so hard to come back to.... We always lose ourselves in our childrens lives until the time comes of who is left... Not your mom, dad, daughter, son, or friends... Its the person you married.... Things I think from the old days that might be worth regaining in our world again..from my point if view. Many women wont agree but I dont care its my opinion... If you dont have something constructive to say about this please keep it to yourself... Respect me. 1.chivalry can bring a man more smiles than not.... 2. Open doors, this includes car doors too, 3. pull a chair out for your lady or mother or mother in law no matter the location, (teach this especially to your son) 4. when served food, wait for her to be seated and taking the first bite before pushing food into your mouth, 5. let her sleep in while you brew a cup, bring it to her in bed, and sit there with her, enjoy a few minutes of morning talk..listen to your words and hers, 6. watch a tear jerk movie with her and wipe her eyes and hold her close, she needs it more than you know... Its not the movie she cries about, its other things in life that are built up in those tears... 7. Make a date night or surprise her with a change of plans 8. Remove your plate from the table and help clear the table, 9. Dont let her do the dishes alone, great time to have conversations. 10. If you try and dont succeed, try, try, try, try, again cause at some point shell realize you really do want to share your life with her... 11. A few of these things a woman can do in return to keep love alive. 12 flowers even those along the road are worth an effort of showing respect... Be impromptu. 13. Share the load, if she is doing something you can share, do it, fold clothes together, get the dustpan and hold it while she sweeps the dirt into the pan, you get the idea... 14. Dont criticize; critique
