It is not a sin to be rich, neither is it an automatic proof that someone will become hedonistic and lose sight of God. Jesus comment about the camel and the needle eye was not him saying do not have money or desire to have it. God is not going to throw money from heaven and neither will the Holy Spirit set up a money making machine for you. God will bless the works of your hands and for some of us, in the end we will have much. Dont go around becoming the Spirit of God and seeing visions of people based on your own short -sightedness. If you want to encourage them to give even as they have and, not focus on money as the all in all, thats different. That makes sense but, even then dont become tataforish. If you havent seen a need to be doing that why continue dogging people? Some Christians are so nosy and intrusive and keep calling it concern and love but, it isnt. Youre not their conscience. Dont underestimate the ability of God to communicate with His own and tell them to cut off or avoid excesses. In the end, we are His not YOURS. Know your place and dont go overboard. Sometimes you even hear folks on someones case about how he or she does not send money to so and so and, they have never been seen giving for a project or orphanage. I thought the bible makes it clear we arent to display worn we give? So are you now the Lord that you want to know how they spend their money? We need to stop this. Understand also that poverty does not mean you are automatically closer to God. Thats another massive lie. So wearing bad clothes, having bad breath, unkempt clothes and hair, doesnt show you to be godly. It just means you have bad hygiene or are too poor to afford to do things right. Like Apostle Paul points out, the end point is to be content in God, regardless of our state; rich or not. Work if you have the ability and if you get rich, blessed be God forever. If you never become a billionaire, blessed be God forever. Lets not become religious and twist scripture to suit our personal ideals.
