One steer suffered a neck injury when the horse broke away with the roped steer, CFD said. The other steer had a broken leg and was evaluated with the animal’s owner. It was decided to euthanize the steer. CFD said that on Sunday a contestant’s horse stepped on a steer and broke the steer’s leg. The veterinarian staff evaluated the steer and, with the owner, decided to euthanize the animal.
