It is that time again to send you all a letter letting you know about the plans for Coastal Hour Exchange. Again if you are on Facebook, please be sure to Like and Friend us on Coastal Hour Exchange We need to have all of you who can do that for us. We remind you that in order to have our sale events and pay for our meeting places we need all members to pay their dues. Those who have paid their dues by March 31st will be included in the CHE directory and will have the privileges of membership -- a call each month reminding you of meetings, the newsletter and the right to publish items therein, Ads placed on Facebook for you and help from your brokers to find the services and goods you need. The more members we can sign up the better skills list we will have on hand. The dues system was set up by Dianna and Bev when we were over a year old and it was realized that the club would have some expenses that could not be met with CHE. Many of us have already paid our dues and we are very thankful for the privileges which it gives to us. Janet Hughes will be taking your dues as assistant treasurer to Joyce, and she will be giving you your receipts. There will be a CHE meeting at St. Timothys at 3:30 Friday, March 21st. It will be our usual 3rd Friday town meeting. We appreciate your attendance and seeking to get there on time so that you do not miss Dianas 1 ingredient added prepper meals. She says to bring a notebook and take lots of notes. Also she has invited the Brookville Seed Exchange Club to attend to look us over and swap seeds with us. If you have seeds or plants to swap bring them along. I will have some lovely Black Crim Tomato plants that are over a foot tall. I have raised them from seed I swapped from Diana. Almost all of the seeds were viable and are giving me nice healthy plants. I will also be bringing some hand-dipped chocolates made from dried fruit dipped in chocolate and coated with almonds. There will be no refreshments at this meeting as that is not part of our contract with St. Tims Diana has been working very hard with multiple estate sales so has just now contacted the gentleman who owns the church on Cornet Road. He is amenable to our using the church, we just need to work the details out for it. So since it is so late in the month and the details are not firmed up yet, we are going to have the next potluck at Janets at 5:30 p.m. on the 1st Monday of the month of April. By meeting at 5:30 we will arrive in daylight and leave in daylight. Bring a potluck dish and some items to trade and expect a good social time of visiting. If you have a small folding table you may bring that to put your trade items on. Address: 17780 Indian Head Road Left -6 miles up the north bank Chetco River Road. If you get to the 6 mile marker you have driven past the driveway. Driveway will be marked balloons and a sandwich board that says Hughes. In the month of May we hope to have a Bake, Gift, Plant sale. We are looking into a location other than the Grange for this event because the Grange wants to charge us $202 to rent it for the day and/or $500 for insurance for a whole year to use it whenever we reserve it. We have assessed that our treasury does not have that much money in it, and we certainly do not want to stick it to our members who are already paying enough. Suffice it to say we are working on the problem and coming up with some good solutions. Lorraine and Michael will be running it. Others have volunteered to help in many different ways. With all this help we anticipate a great event .
