It is the week of parsha Metzora. There will be no Torah Talk gathering at the Center this week only, as Gary and Bill, along with others from the Regions family, will be enjoying the Sabbath with Graham Cooke and Victoria Rutherford in Dallas. This is the week we focus on breaking free of the deeper levels of uncleanness with which we come in contact in life. He who refuses to listen to the Holy Ones loving instructions on how to distinguish that which is clean from that which is unclean is inevitably drawn to uncleanness like a moth is drawn to a flame. But even yet, there is a cure. There is an anti-venom for the unclean creatures poisonous bite. There is a rope of rescue dangling into the abyss, available to all who will abhor their uncleanness, look up, and grab hold. I call this week the week of the free bird flying. Some will surrender to the uncleanness of this world; but all who choose the Holy Ones way will escape the fowlers snare and soar with Him.
