It is true , and because SO FEW now know the meaning of sacrifice, they have no measure of the meaning of FREEDOM! Americas mistake is that we STOPPED requiring National SERVICE! While there are only a few that are well fitted to be the highest classes of warrior, there are 50 support positions behind every gun toting p[air of boots on the ground. That makes it very clear to me that MANDATORY REGISTRATION AND PAID SUMMER SERVICE for every 16-18 yr old boy and girl to go to boot camp to learn confidence and self discipline, get skills placements and summer job experience at EVERY PHYSICAL AND MENTAL LEVEL! This may go along way to give them the belonging they naturally seek, while at the same time the independence they are striving for, and focus their life skills to useful directions keeping them off the streets, out of gangs, and expanding the kind of classes they want to take, that they cannot get in schools anymore. Music, History, Government, Leadership, Art, Engineering, Wood/Metal Auto Repairs , Commissary/ Cooking / First Aid/ Wildlands and Shoreline studies and maintenance. USEFUL PHYSICAL AND INTELLECTUAL OCCUPATIONS!
