It is truly an honor to be recognized as an impactful asset to this industry. Health Across America works very hard to establish themselves as a grand pillar in todays Health Insurance industry. We recently received recognition from the state of California and the Nations Capital for the recent work we have been doing. We thanked them immensely for acknowledging our efforts and wrote them a mission response. We would like to share that mission response with you: Your organization has been identified as a CEE top performer in the Los Angeles area and Covered California would like to reward your efforts with a White House VIP visit. Congratulations!!! We Are The Face of Covered California! …Covered California When we made the commitment to become part of the Covered California movement, we knew from the beginning that the RCR staff had to be proactive in educating themselves and the population who know very little or were negative as to the benefits Covered California has to offer. Presently we have 21 Certified Enrollers and 6 Agents who can sufficiently complete the Enrollment Application process in a timely manner and answer questions by inquisitive callers. We incorporated an innovated approach to conducting outreach regardless of where our staff might be at any given moment. Somehow T-Mobile heard of our efforts and donated 40 tablets which our enrollers could utilize to download information from the Covered California website. Not only when needed is the concept efficient, it presents an image of professionalism which draws the prospective applicant to us. Our goal is to have face to face contact with consumers throughout the State of California. Initially and under the guidance of Jacob Rodriguez, RCR formed four outreach teams, each team consisting of four members. The “Blue” and “Green” teams were flown to Sacramento and the “Red” team was flown to San Jose. The “Gold” team covered the Greater Los Angeles area. Upon arrival, SUV’s were leased and the teams traveled to their assigned locations. Cities visited were Sacramento, Chico, Oroville, Marysville, Vacaville, San Jose, San Rafael, Livermore, Hayward, Sunnyville, Santa Cruz, Santa Maria, Placerville, Stockton, Modesto and Santa Nella. Southern California Cities visited have been San Diego, San Ysidro, El Centro, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Los Angeles and of course our home base City of Murrieta. Our interactions with hundreds of applicants has provided RCR with a wealth of experience which allows our staff to simplify the application process by knowing which documents the applicant must have on hand and which questions to ask of the applicant. We realize the application process can be intimidating and our goal is to minimize that by having the application process be adequately completed on the first visit, resulting in no need for follow-up by either party. The following is just one of the hundreds of stories which have crossed our path. “Single mother of two children, Rhonda, is working part-time at a local retailer. The local retailer discontinued benefits for all parttime employees. Rhonda was able to secure a health care plan for herself and her two daughters for under $100.00 per month. When Rhonda was informed of this, her bottom lip began to quiver and her eyes swelled with tears. “I can’t begin to tell you how relieved and grateful I am.” To us at RCR, this is what Covered California is about. Providing hope, for those in need. We are aware of the importance of the cultural diversity among our applicants. Our motto is to treat each applicant as you would want to be treated. We have had non-believers of the Covered California Health Reform come to our office with negative opinions of what it could possibly do for them. Knowledge and patience is the key of converting the non-believers to believers. The converted thus become our strongest voice of support. They are able to return to their respective communities and share with others regarding their experience and from there a positive referral source is born. We know the power and the influence of “Each one reach one…” “Here’s my card and another to give to a friend. Respectfully, The staff of Health Across America and RCR Companies.
