It is very hard to try and explain how frustrated and disappointed I am and have been since yesterday. To make a long story short, we learned yesterday that the results of the MRI Andy had on October 2nd were incorrectly provided to us. The results we were given actually belonged to another patient. Yesterday we learned that Andys MRI results from October 2nd actually showed two new, small brain tumors. So almost 45 days have passed without any treatment of those new tumors. Andy is now scheduled for another Gamma Knife Treatment next Tuesday. As in the past, once he is fitted with the halo they will do an in-depth MRI. Please pray that the two new, small tumors have not grown and that no other tumors show up. Please also pray for the neurosurgeon, radiation oncologist, physicist, and others that will be working on Andy next Tuesday. This error is not from our oncologists office or Lexington Medical Center. In fact, it was Kelly Jeffcoat, Dr. Madden, and Dr. Lawson from LMC that found the reporting error made by others and brought the matter to our attention yesterday. Please pray for Andy as he goes through the Gamma Knife again, and pray for good results. Also please pray that I will get over my frustration and anger.
