It is with a broken heart that I inform you all that we lost the battle…. I received the call yesterday that Kenneth Cook was granted parole for the 1992 brutal murder & mutilation of my oldest brother, Charlie. We thank each and every one of you for your love, support & petition signatures… Without you, we may not have made it this far. The support of our family & friends, and advocates who became friends, like Benjamin Baldwin & Dan Frye (and my special secret juror friend ♥) was incredible & will never be forgotten…. Kenneth Cook will be walking free in the next couple of weeks. He has never once shown any signs of remorse. The chances are very probable that he will reoffend, if he does, it will be on the hands of the parole board that made the very disturbing decision…. Looking back, there was nothing left that could have been done. Even though he has been granted parole, my fight is not over. I will continue to try to make a difference by changing laws and making a difference in Charlie’s name…. With Love, Shelleen & Family
