It is with excitement and a touch of the usual nervous energy, that I embark on my upcoming journey. So please keep me and my team in your prayers. I will be travelling to the north coast of the Dominican Republic to complete a medical mission with the wonderful organization, Project Helping Hands as we work for 2 weeks to initiate and provide sustainable medical care and relief for the sick and severely impoverished in several of the rural areas and small towns. If you are a medical professional with access to antibiotics and prescribed medications or have access to small durable medical equipment (nebulizers, glucometers, blood pressure machines, thermometers, pulse oximetry meters, medical scales, etc...) and would like to contribute, please inbox me. We will also leave basic supplies for families including toothbrushes, toothpaste, OTC meds (benadryl, tylenol, etc...) There will be 3 Attending Physicians (including myself), 4 Resident Physicians and a host of nurses, as well as medical and nursing students and interpreter volunteers ! Expecting God to go before us and prepare a way so that the quality of the peoples health is changed for the better.
