It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Rivers. She passed away at 1:17pm surrounded by family and close friends. – Melissa Rivers Emmy-winning comedian was rushed to Mount Sinai on Thursday after she stopped breathing while undergoing a throat procedure on her vocal cords. She was placed in a medically induced coma on Tuesday; Wednesday she was moved out of intensive care and into a private hospital room where she remained on life support. Joan was known for her feisty attitude, big hair and sharp tongue. Joan shattered the “glass ceiling” and became one of the first successful American comedians in the world. Joan was unapologetic and fierce, she left an undeniable mark on co-workers, friends and of course the world. Today our hearts are heavy and our prayers are with Joan and her family. “I don’t work out.
