It never ceases to amaze me how much the Internet has changed the way we receive information. Earlier tonight I learned that the KC Royals won game 3 of the World Series via my ESPN app. (Im not a big sports guy by any means...but I have Audrae and Ron among many others in KC whose enthusiasm for the Royals has clearly infected me.) So, on the sadder side of this point...I was surfing Facebook tonight and learned that my Uncle, Paul Merry, passed away today after an extended battle with cancer. I am grateful that he is no longer suffering and I believe he is in a MUCH better place now...but I am also very sad for his family, including his wife, my cousins, my aunts and uncles, and most of all my father. My uncle was a real sports guy...and like me...he was an outgoing talker. He will be greatly missed.
