It occurred to me yesterday after reading a poem my dad wrote, probably one if the best poems Ive ever read, you only get one life you do your best at raising your kids and preparing them for what lies ahead so that one day they can do the same so that their kids can do the same you can still be there for them and help them and see them from time to time but the fact of the matter is the only person that will be there for you on a daily basis is that person you intend to spend the rest o of your life with, your soul mate your other half, your better half, however you want to put it, I commend those that have valued the sanction of marriage and survived the tests of time if I ever get the chance to do things right I will definitely not be another statistic.
