It pains me to share this as a UCLA alum, but this is a great story. There are several things I like about this (nothing to do with the initial fine or the PAC-12 refusing to re-allocate it). Pat Haden made good on his word. The USC alumni association are making good on their word. The donations are directly to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, not to any charity that could re-allocate them as they saw fit. My father went to medical school at USC and Childrens hospital Los Angeles was his campus. This was 1970. 40+ years later, an institution of higher learning is still making strides for our kids.
