It really was a splendid day. It was wonderful seeing Deb, Whooties illustrator, again, and meeting her friend. We had a fabulous lunch at the Whidbey Pie Cafe on Greenbank farm. Took our time, reminiscing and catching up a bit. Then browsed the Art Galleries and Cheese Shop on the street next to the barn, and explored the grounds a little -- very, very little of the 522 rolling acres. It was so much fun!!! And the cool,cloudy morning turned into a mid 70s sunny afternoon. All the makings for a splendid day! Now, tonight, I thought the only way to end such a day would be with a trip back five months to Moscow. I know Ive been a frequent visitor, but I can never get enough of our splendiferous boys sensational performance of a favorite song that haunts me. (whew!) So Ill be flying off after I bid all of you -- Buonanotte, sogni doro. Sleep well.
