It took five long years for Chrysler to respond to the Ford Mustang with the E-boy Cuda and Challenger. Many mopar fans believed it was worth the wait once they saw the new engine that was being put in these beasts, the 426/425-HP Hemi V8. Hemi challengers were exceedingly rare. This 71 Hemi Challenger R/T is an original example with complete owner history. It is only one of 70 built and only one of 49 left in existence. This is the only one known to still have the original factory paint. The car was originally purchased by a Missouri speed shop owner who displayed the car to attract customers. The car is expected to be sold this in May at Dana Mecums 27th Original Spring Classic 2014.
