It warms my heart when I encounter a good person in todays world. Ian, the girls and I take care of our elderly neighbor the best we can. We take his trash can out/in and take his mail to him on most days (the days that he doesnt beat us to it with his walker)...even take him an occasional meal and cookies every once in awhile. He is an 87 year old man and is still so smart. Hes a good person. He doesnt get many visitors. We have so many people in this neighborhood and we are the only ones who care to help out. I dont understand it and ultimately, Ive stopped trying to make sense of it. In this world we are living in, people are just too busy, too mean or too busy texting to even notice their neighbors. Today, I watched an employee of Deffenbaugh Industries hop out of the truck to pull his trash can up to the house for him. He even waved to him as the old man waved from his front door. Thank you, Mr. Deffenbaugh man...you also made my day, sir! Tis the season! #tears #goodpeoplemakemehappy
