It was 2 a.m. and raining. I woke up because of a dream. I can’t remember when was the last time I woke up because of a dream. I started to realize that we’ve really grown enough. I have dreamt about my friends. In my dreams we were so happy attending our class in Math. When the teacher dismissed us, it started to rain. Others were very worried but my 6 friends and I were so happy. In my dream I can remember only few conversations because most we did was to laugh and laugh. When you encounter events which you think happened in your dreams, it’s called “deja vu”. But when you dream of things which repeatedly happened in the past, it’s called “reminiscing”. I’m about to cry because the truth is: I can’t remember when was the last time I became so HAPPY, WILD AND FREE just like the old days. Dumduman nyo pa nga kung hapon gapamahaw kita mountain dew kag Spanish bread sa trimline? Sin-o gane to nagsulod ka hanggod nga bato sa bag ko ah? Kun kis-a kun gatambay kita sa plaza kag magbakal ice pop sa plaza mart. Ga-agaway pa kita kis-a ka ice pop nga color violet. Kun mag-uran gasuray kita. Gasakay sa tricycle kag magkanta kag magkadlaw. Tapos mapadul-ong kita pauli. Tapos magpanaog ang isa masinggit kita nga: “bye gah”. Dumduman nyo pa nga nagab-ihan kita tambay sa patyo? Gapungko kita sa babaw panchon kag magpautwas ka mga heartaches ta? In the end naglagsanay kita sa patyo kag ginlagas kita ka ayam. Ang mga palda ta duro bunga ka hilamon nga nagtarapik? Dumduman nyo pa nga kis-a galainay buot ta sa isa kag isa. Ga-share kita secrets kag problems. Daw kanami kag kasadya lang tanan madumduman ko maski kis-a ga-drama kita. Kis-a masakit buot ta sa isa kag isa kapin pa kun hambalan kit aka mga sala ta. We have really grown enough (in size, age and height maybe). That was 7 seven years go. We gotta go our own way. We travel different paths. Our choices change. We meet new friends. We have our own careers. Of all the changes that happened to us through time, there is one thing I can never change: I LOVE YOU BESTFRIENDS. You were the people I leaned upon during my hard times. You were the people I shared laughter with. You are the people I can never forget for the rest of my life. You are the people I will tell in the stories with my kids and grandchildren.
