It was Lefsa making time this weekend at our house, after my mother passed away we had to rely on handouts from the relatives on the other side of the woods, (torn pieces or slightly burned you know.) So decided if we wanted quality better learn to do for yourself. My mother was a Rodefer, (German) but her mother was Janey Nichols 100% Norsky, so all of the Rodefer girls would make Lefsa for deer season and the Holidays around this time of the year. When I was a boy It was generally right on top of the wood cook stove, lots of smoke. So in the picture you see I am using a cast iron 16 inch griddle on top of the stove.(None of that new fangled electric stuff for me. Besides Harry the cat loves the heat.) It works great and very little smoke.So any how Glen and Marjorie Moseleys offspring carry the Lefsa gene but not so much the Luteafisk.(spelling?)
