It was a camping trip I will never forget... Those who were - TopicsExpress

It was a camping trip I will never forget... Those who were with me will remember events in their own way, but to me my experience was more than just an outing with good friends searching for Bigfoot or sleeping under the stars. In those quiet moments when I was alone, when time ceased for me and I could look out into the heavens I found something more beautiful than anything I could ever express to you. I wish they saw what I did, I regret not being able to express these emotions to any of you but here is a small attempt. Every point of light in the sky was so distant, it was like seeing a city from above and looking down except I was looking out into the void. But then the revelation crept into my head, I was part of those lights. Inside me, a galaxy unto myself I held the same elements, the iron in my blood passed from mother to son but started generations ago in the cosmic cloud that later became our star and Earth herself. Life began here quite literally by chance and when it did we were all one, only through time after exposure to the environment did our genetics change. Plants, animals, birds and fish...ultimately becoming us...humans...and all the great diversity of life as we know it spawned from the same simple beginning. It was humbling to actually realize just how small we really are, to know in the cosmic theater we are barely a pixel, hardly a light to the stage of space and time as we know it. But here on this world we are everything, we are as much a part of a tree as we are a butterfly, as much a wolf as we are the cousins of apes. We inherited this planet as much as she gave us breath, we are part of all we can see around us. As human beings we call ourselves the masters of this planet and in truth we are nothing of the sort, without Earth we could never have been more than dust floating through space. I felt this connection and it was more than humbling, it was spiritual beyond belief more than any god could proclaim or religious doctrine could explain for me. And like prophets before me I could not contain this revelation, I couldnt remain silent about it. The evidence was inside me, it was out there blazing brightly in the night sky. But once I came back, when I made it home and tried to express this moment my words fell on ears too closed to even listen. So I started searching for others of like mind, they are here just like I am and my hope for the future is our collective voices will not go unheard. Shed your fear humanity...I beg you to listen more closely and humbly remind you that we all can move forward as one. Love a little deeper, cherish a little longer and dont close your eyes to what you see because it doesnt make sense in a world you created with belief...
