It was monday morning and time for religious and moral education. Teacher kweku entered the class sharply dressed with his PME book in hand. He wanted to test the morality of his pupils to find out whether they give due respect to the elderly. TEACHER KWEKU [asked pupils] ; who is the wisiest person on earth ? A pupil raised up the hand. TEACHER KWEKU ; yeees martin. PUPIL ; master kweku, answered the pupil. Teacher kweku stood for a little while and then considered his answer right because he knew he was a wise man. Now second question. TEACHER KWEKU ; who is the most foolish man on earth ? The same pupil raised up the hand. TEACHER KWEKU ;good, martin again, yeees. PUPIL ; master kweku. With a surprise and fun in the answer, the whole class burst into uncontrolable laughter. Teacher kweku became very very angered by the answer the pupil gave and he threatened to punish him severely for considering him the most foolish man. The pupil was so surprise at the atmosphere in the class because he knew he was right in his answer but the class got him wrong. PUPIL ;sir, would you let me clarify the class about my answer ? TEACHER KWEKU ;go on. PUPIL ; sir you have been giving us moral stories involving kweku ananse and how foolishly he sometimes behave to other people and i have decided to call him master kweku because i wanted to attach respect to his name since he is older than me. Now teacher kweku was convinced by the pupils answer and allowed the class to clap for him for his answer.
