It was quite the day. I loved the time with the kids. Would have loved it more had we not had an unexpected stay at the Brake repair shop, but at least Maximus was safe to bring the kids home in. Considering the nature and extent of the breakdown I count it a miracle that I got all the way to Salt Lake from North Dakota and then made it all the way up to pick up the kids and bring them to town and run the needed errands before the brakes seized up completely as I pulled into the shop. I learned a little about brakes. What was a confusing and intermittent symptom became a complete breakdown the moment I could get it fixed.
