It was reported that Malaysian passports are worth about US$10,000 (RM32,000) on the black market. And there was a possibility that locals were selling their passports to the syndicate. In the first six months 2014, 7,466 missing Malaysian passports were reported - and between 2008 and 2014 the number reported missing was 128,261. Staggering numbers!! 1) Why are passports for a country that is Rasis, Kejam and Bankrupt like Malaysia so valuable? Why would do so many foreigners value being called a Malaysian? 2) How many Malaysians are willing to lose their passports for RM32,000 and just re-apply a new one?
