It would be too tiring to respond to all the statist nationalistic horseshit that was on the previous posts so Ill make them here. 1) Radical Islam is a creation of the US government being involved in the Middle East. Al Qaeda, Taliban, ISIS, all have at one point or another been trained, equipped, and funded by the US. This has been confirmed by the CIA and UN, as well as various military personnel, among others. 2) If the wars that have occurred since 9-11 have been to defend freedom, theyve done a shitty job. The police state has only grown exponentially since 9-11, due in no small part to the wars abroad. Since 9-11, more Americans have been killed by the police at home than were killed in the Iraq War. 3) Too many veterans come home damaged from the wars and have PTSD. Many end up committing suicide because of the scars of war. Hell, American Sniper touched on how war can negatively change people. Not wanting people to fight in pointless wars =/= hating my country, or whatever bullshit people wanna throw around. 4) If youre gonna try to defend violent aggressors just doing their jobs or just following orders, Google the Nuremberg Defense. Those who try to defend people just following orders are insulting the intelligence of the governments armed enforcers, by implying they dont have a conscience of their own. 5) If any person who opposes the state of perpetual warfare the US is currently embroiled in is some sort of America-hating liberal commie, among those people opposed to such wars are many veterans themselves. Theyll attest that US foreign policy is incredibly twisted. If you want a good place to start regarding anti-war veterans, Adam Kokesh is a great one.
