It would seem that it is about time that I take a (short) holiday, even if just a week off. I need to re-energise. I have gone on effectively non-stop since starting a new job in March 2013. Although I ‘stole’ a few days during December 2013, I kept on writing/editing the entire (normal) festive season holiday. This work never ends – academia is not for sissies. I miss my children, perhaps I should visit my youngest daughter who recently turned eight – the trouble is that I would have to go to Europe, something I resist because I prefer the African continent.
