It would seem there is an inherent bias in the stories of miraculous events, especially life/death scenarios. Every miraculous victory results in a living being to share the story. Every miraculous failure is lost to time because the only person who could share is dead. Even if life had an active bias against us, wed still think some benevolent force took pity on us simply due to the inability to share the alternative. History is written by the victors It is statistically guaranteed that someone you know, or yourself, will experience an impossible event at least once in your life. Pray that your impossible event is either good on neutral. Dont be that guy who dies from a frozen chunk of toilet fluid from a passing aircraft.
