Its Christmas. Its time I look back and reflect on a few things. - TopicsExpress

Its Christmas. Its time I look back and reflect on a few things. Some great presents given to me today. But also, throughout the year in terms of Network Content, and giant lumps of coal were also delivered... what was the best Present this Year? What was the Worst lump of coal? The Best Present this year was really close... but I chose Over the Garden Wall. Steven Universe is a very close second, but I chose Garden Wall because it has already ended, Steven will go on and do beautiful things still (and Ill talk about Steven more later). Many people were iffy on Cartoon Networks comeback of sorts with great animated shows... Over the Garden Wall shut up many of the doubters. This 10 Episode Miniseries is worth a watch by EVERYONE WHO CAN. It is one of the greatest Animated things I have personally ever seen. The Characters, Animation, one of THE BEST Soundtracks I have ever heard top to bottom. Everything clicked, everything was brilliant. It was a beautiful story that was told, and I have and will watch it again. It was a beautiful present from Cartoon Network, and I will cherish it forever. And everyone else here should too! WATCH IT IF YOU HAVENT. SERIOUSLY. To give Coal to one thing Nick has done this year would be cheap of me. The Worst Animated thing they did this year, was Breadwinners... because it was the ONLY ANIMATED THING THEY DID THIS YEAR. Let that sink in. Cheap Flash animation off of Youtube, was their new animation contributionof 2014 while CN had Over the Garden Wall and Clarence. It is a travesty to think Nickelodeon is so slow and agonizingly irritating with their Animated Nicktoons. They keep announcing they greenlight Cartoons and we hear nothing. The fact that they came out with so many Live Action shows, and ONE Animated Show, is not a good sign for this Networks future. As for Live Action? Pick up a Dart and Throw it, whatever you hit will be Coal Worthy, seriously. None of them are funny, none of them are creative, and all of them are horribly written. I dont believe any of them are worse than Breadwinners, but thats like saying a Fire isnt as bad as an Earthquake... Korra deserves a present of sympathy this year as they really were the abused party all year by Nickelodeon. No matter your opinion on the show or how it ended. They were That great gift given to the spoiled brat who threw it away because he didnt want it. Korra was the best thing Nickelodeon had, and to see how it was manhandled by the Network left and right, it definitely deserves a gift from the fans, and a grateful thanks that Bryke was able to persevere and handle it as well as he and the creators and directors did. Rest easy Korra, have a good Christmas with the ones you... love ;) Ill be taking a closer look at some of the best and worst things of the year eventually. If you cant wager a guess as to what some of those would be then you must be very new to the page, welcome! In any case, These presents I believe deserve all the praise they get, as they really were gifts to be cherished and not tossed away. And Nickelodeon deserved all the coal they got this year, In the form of negativity which only continues to grow year by year from its former fans. It isnt going to be a Merry Christmas for Nick any time soon.
