Its Wednesday Clinton!!!!! The week is halfway over and we have lots of fun things to do in Clinton this weekend! Take a look: Brick Street Classic Run We are about to embark on what we envision to be the first annual Clinton Brick Street Classic. It will include a 10K Run, 5K Run/Walk, and a Kids Fun Run. The event will be on Friday night, May 9, with registration beginning at 5:00 p.m. and the 10K Run, & 5K Run/Walk start @ 6:30 p.m. The race will begin at the Baptist Healthplex located on the campus of Mississippi College. The event will include not only the races, but a pasta dinner in our community room and a movie on the streets of Olde Towne. For more information call 601.925.7915. The Make mine Vintage Market and Classic Car Cruise-in will draw you back to the nostalgia of yesteryear. Join Main Street Clinton for vintage and classic car cruise-in on the historic brick streets of Olde Towne Clinton. This new event will be held in conjunction with the Make Mine Vintage Olde Towne Market craft fair (held from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.). There will be food, crafts and great local entertainment. the event is free and the first twenty participants will receive a goodie bag. Call the Main Street office for more information 601.924.5472. First Annual Clinton Spring History Tours The City of Clinton Historical Events Committee will host a spring tour on Saturday, May 10, from 12-4 pm. Experience the rich history of an antebellum home-Tanglewood, along with the original Sanctuary at First Baptist Church, Ratliff Motor Company, and Memes Brick Street Bakery at the Potter House. The Spring Tour headquarters (Clinton Visitor Center ) will be open for ticket sales 9am-5pm Monday-Saturday and 1pm-5pm Sunday. Visitors may obtain guided tour tickets and maps at the Clinton Visitor Center prior to Saturday, May 10. On Saturday, May 10 visitors may obtain guided tour tickets and maps in front of Memes Brick Street Bakery, Potter House, from 9am-12pm. Ticket prices for the Spring Tour 2014 events are $15.00 for three presentations and refreshments at Memes Brick Street Bakery. For more details call 601-924-2221. Should be a fun weekend!
