Its a shame when you want to do the right thing and you hit a brick wall. I went to the place that was designated for me to vote as i have in the past. After about 1/2 hr. of being told to go from one station to another only to find out that my name is nowhere to be found. Then try to get someone who speaks English and knows what the hell they are doing, tell me that I have to go to another voting site, because they changed the district. The people they have at these voting places are shameful, they dont speak English and cant read. How do they get these jobs. Doesnt anyone care that any election is extremely important and to have incompetent people working there affects the voting process - I wasnt the only one having this problem, there were several other voters there who shared their concerns and were disgusted, After talking with them, i convinced them to go to the other polling place and vote. We all left together. and went to the proper place to vote. The best was that before we left they gave us a so-called permission sheet to show them thats where I belonged. I practically filled out the slip myself because they couldnt spell my name correctly. Things like this will cause voters to get discouraged and go home and not vote. However i was extremely determined to vote today which I did even if it meant I landed in jail. When I got to the correct place at least the workers there seemed more capable and knew what they were doing. They told us that there were some people who encountered the same problem, in fact one or two had to travel a longer way to get to the correct place. Whats wrong with this picture. Usually I dont vent but today really pissed me off!
