Its all about fixing the big picture before zooming in on details. Would you worry about adding rims to your car if you didnt even have tires yet? Before you even THINK about pre and post shakes and supplements and optimizing intake around workouts, get ALL your diet in order. What are your meals like? What ingredients and food choices? Theres no use in being obsessed about details unless you have the other things fixed. You can get very very far with eating regular meals and NOT use pre and post shakes, but you can not get far with eating just that and forgetting about the rest.
