Its all (ahem) kicked off! Theres been a surge of interest in whats believed to be the earliest film record of a football match, dating from 1898 and preserved here at the NWFA for the last 25 years. The 45 second film features action from Blackburn Rovers v West Bromwich Albion at Ewood Park. The renewed interest was prompted by a blog post at footballaddicts and picked up by a number of media outlets. You can watch the film at vimeo/108880463
