Its amazing how its the little things that really show us our childrens growing independence. Watching my daughter get herself a glass of water (i.e., doing it all - opening her cup, emptying the old water, opening the fridge, getting the Brita onto the counter, getting a chair so she can reach the counter, pouring the water, putting the lid back on her cup, putting the water away, closing the fridge, putting the chair back into the dining room, and anything I missed) alone is enough to make me smile.
