Its another Frank Moment (not to be confused with Amanda Moments) but the similarities are scary! I live to do grocery shopping. (In fact Im thinking of starting a client base as a service to the elderly, shut ins, etc) To me its a quest, a contest. But I dont meander around the store looking for things that sound good. That is stupid and much more expensive. No! I make my menus, inventory what I need and make my list. Now the list is rather important and special. Not only does it contain what I need to but, but it is also categorized or grouped by WHERE the items are in the store. AND I always start at the back if the store and move towards the front. I never can figure why a grocer would put his fresh fruits and vegetables, cold items like eggs, then frozen items at the FRINT of the store, knowing you have two thirds of the store left to shop as well as all of the heavy can goods, box mixes and flour, sugar, etc. So I take my shopping seriously. Its almost like a military operation. Today I had my list in hand. I needed a pen to scratch off the items I put in the basket. I started out of the door, grabbed my keys and thought, Wheres my list? I had just had it! I searched EVERYWHERE -three times. I checked all of my pockets, my planner, the three trash cans. The refrigerator (dont ask), my desk, I moved stuff, every room in the house. I rechecked my pockets for like the sixth time. I was going nuts and was FURIOUS AT MYSELF for loosing my list. After an hour if searching I gave up and decided to run my other errands. But there was no way on Gods green earth I would ever consider going to the store without a list. THAT. IS. UNTHINKABLE! I came home and it is my habit to empty my pockets. Lo and behold there was the list, wrapped around the pen I went to get to scratch off the items! Tomorrow is another day! Whew!
