Its been a long couple of weeks waiting on the doctors to call back with the plan for McKinseys MRI results. Genetics says at this point there is no other test to give her, (she just had the mother of all genetic tests last year) and radiology says there is not another MRI to compare these results too. Not true...she had an MRI when she was 2 (that was normal) but apparently no one can find those images. The plan right now is to continue to search for those images (via medical records.) She will also, regardless if we find them or not, be referred to a neurologist for a consultation to discuss the results of this scan. According to both her pediatrician and her developmental specialist, there is a new neurologist who specializes in genetics at UVA. He sounds like exactly who we need. Thanks to everyone who has checked on her and prayed for her since the results. The words abnormal brain scan have been about the hardest words to digest since becoming a Mom. If God brought us to it, Hes going to bring us through it! 💞
