Its games like this that propels a team to the post season and to a tremendous winning stretch. I predicted with 42 games left that wed go 30-12 and win the AL West. I predicted wed sweep the Tigers, win 2/3 against the Phillies, and win 1/3 against the Red Sox. We didnt sweep the Tigers (thanks to some help from Tony Randazzo), and lost the series to the Phillies. Right after the last game against the Phillies, I said that if we dont sweep Boston, we might not have the division and my 30-12 prediction probably wont pan out, especially if we dont win the series. Tonight when I came home from work when it was in the Top of the 7th inning and saw Cespedes killed us again with a HR ball, this time off Felix, I just about lost it. I couldnt believe that, with our ace on the mound against Bostons broken pitching staff, that we couldnt score a single run to support Felix or bail him out if he makes one mistake, which he did tonight (excluding when he hit a batter in the head). Then the 9th inning came, and I decided to close out of MLB Game Day when we had 2 outs with Uehara on the mound with LoMo on first, and turned it to the Seahawks game. All of a sudden, I kept getting tons of notifications from a game thread that I was previously commenting on, and decided to go check out what was going on. All of a sudden Endy drew a walk, Denorfia pinch hit for Miller and got a single to load the bases. I was about to turn it to the game, but then saw Jackson was up and had gone 0-3. I was hoping for a bases clearing double in the back of my mind, just like he got when I was at the game against Chicago. Then I saw someone comment that he got a double and cut the Boston lead to 3-2. Now, Ackley comes up. 0-1 pitch, he pops it up. Everyone on the game thread, including me go nuts that he popped it up and we thought it was over. Then we saw the Short Stop sprinting over and calling off Cespedes. Then unbelievably, the ball fell in and we took the lead. Everyone went NUTS. Then Ackley scored from first on a line drive single to left from Cano. At that point we laughed that the RFer gave up on the play and flipped it to the cut off man as Ackley continued to sprint around the bases. Rodney came on in the 9th, got the save, and proved that this team didnt give up. Unbelievable. Now, we HAVE to work off this. Use this as motivation and a reason to keep going. Unbelievable win. Gotta love it. GO Ms! ~TimmyTurtle
