Its interesting to note, that all medicines at one point were derived from some kind of herb or natural element, then synthesised in a lab. Scientists try to isolate what they think is the active ingredient. This is a dangerous game. Nature is perfect. Everything has already been thought out. Everything has a purpose. To try and take apart what we think makes a plant effective is like playing god. Remember, everything is connected. You cant take a vital piece of car engine out and expect the rest of the car to function right. The same with plants and natural foods. Everything comes perfectly balanced. Plants have the perfect amount of minerals, vitamins, amino acids, oils, glycosides, sterols, etc and if we only take a part of that (or a synthetic version of a part of it).
