Its my birthday today and I had a visit from a young lady that Ive known for about 16 years, back when I was still working. So nice to give a hug to this special visitor, she always makes me feel special. She nicely dodged any reference to age, which was appreciated. But for those who are curious, Im a very young 59. Hard to believe so many years have passed and Im determined to make this year a stellar one with lots of emphasis on art, crafty things and maybe a bit of writing more diligently in a journal or two. We all know that Im a tad long winded, so I suspect that if I start putting entries in a nice journal that I have on hand, that I may need another one or two to hold all my thoughts and dreams. Not a lot new in my life this week. I had another nasty fall last Tuesday and Im still feeling a bit stiff. Serves me right for not balancing myself properly. I thought that I could lean a little to the left and ended up on the floor with my walker on top of me. Of course I had to call for help on my panic button. LOL I think that the team that responded hadnt had their first coffee of the day as it was early (8:30 a.m.) since one of them was a tad grumpy or maybe he just usually has a brusque attitude. Oh well, once they got me up and checked me out I was back to baking cookies and making a pan of fudge. Ive still got some bruises on my legs, but all is well and Ive learned my lesson, better to take extra time and make sure Im well balanced than to fall and scare me to death. I survived, so I guess that old saying wasnt applicable this time nor any time soon or so I hope. Today is a quiet day and Im just puttering and trying to tidy up a bit. Ive got one load of dishes in the dishwasher and it looks like therell be a second load a little later after I do some cooking at dinner time. I plan to watch some videos tonight while sketching in a book that holds all my ideas. Im still working on putting my studio in order and locating more of my pencil crayons to play with. Much tidier when Im sitting up in bed and playing with art supplies! Im debating on whether or not to head out this week and treat myself to a nice sized tin of good crayons, but might put it off until a little later. Molly Cat needs to have her teeth cleaned and thats an expensive visit since it involves anesthesia. That kind of scares me, but I want to keep my baby healthy. A healthy and happy kitty is priceless to me. I love the furry little one so much that Ill gladly do without some things in order to pay the bill. So, thats life in my world right now. Nothing too exciting, but Im planning on making 2015 a wonderful year, memorable for all the right reasons. Sending love and hugs to all! Have a happy and fun week! :)
