Its one small step for man.... So first night with my semi bionic heart went well, verity well actually. They all seem really happy. Im off oxygen and my O2 saturation is staying up in the mid-late 90s. Previously it was dropping to mid 80s very quickly. Blood Pressure is spot on and as are my blood sugars. Ill be visited by a diabetic nurse and the cardio rehab nurse later today. At thin moment in time the plan is for me to go home tomorrow! I cant wait to sleep in our own bed, curled up with my lovely wife and of course Tilly. Lots of life changes coming up but Im ready for the challenge. I cant thank enough all that have helped me since last Thursday. The paramedics, the A&E staff, the nurses and doctors at QEQM, WHH and here at St Thomass. I cant fault any of them. On top of that thank you to all my friends and family for the most amazing love care and support throughout. Your charm wit and banter has kept me smiling through out. Of course I cant say thank enough to Kay. She has been bloody amazing. She has only left my side when there was no other option. She has held my hand, held my heart and kept me strong. She has struggled all the way through, she may say otherwise but I can see it on her face. I love her from the bottom of my newly referbed heart and I always will xxxxx
