Its time for #SundaySwap! Todays swap is deodorant, which we have - TopicsExpress

Its time for #SundaySwap! Todays swap is deodorant, which we have found to be one of the more difficult swaps because cruelty-free deodorant tends to be natural/organic, which is wonderful for the environment but sometimes not so great for odor control! Below is a sample of cruelty-free deodorants with positive reviews (not a comprehensive list, and as always, please feel free to share more in the comments). Hopefully you will find one that works for you! :) DEODERANT SWAP Animal-tested: Secret, Dove, Axe, Arrid, Old Spice, Suave, Degree, Almay, Ban, Dry Idea, Arm & Hammer, Sure, Speed Stick, Mitchum Cruelty-free: Alba Botanica: makes great clear enzyme deodorant sticks that come in three scents—lavender, tea tree, and aloe unscented. Available in the natural section of stores and online at albabotanica/body/deodorants.html. JĀSÖN: has seven deodorant options, including nourishing apricot, calming lavender, and fresh unscented. Available in the natural section of stores and online at jason-personalcare/body-loving-products/body/deodorant. Certain Dri: the only antiperspirant on the list (most cruelty-free options are solely deodorant), and one that can be found in most stores right next to the animal-tested ones! A rare and wonderful find for sure. Also available online at certaindri/the-facts-about-certain-dri/. Kiss My Face: we can personally vouch for this one! It is the most effective that we have found so far, other than Certain Dri, which can be hard on sensitive skin. Our favorite is Active Life Stick in Sport, and they also make Roll-On varieties. Available in the natural section of stores and online at https://kissmyface/body/grid/natural-deodorants. Nature’s Gate: also makes both roll-on and stick deodorant in scents like spring fresh, winter clean, and summer spice. Available in the natural section of stores and online at natures-gate/shop/Category?category=142. Nourish Organics: has organic deodorant in five scents, including almond vanilla and wild berries. Available at Target, Whole Foods, Wegman, and other health stores, as well as online at nourishorganic/collections/body/products/organic-deodorant. Here are two sites with even more options: blog.vegancuts/beauty-body-skincare/vegan-deodorant-options/, pinterest/crueltyfree74/cruelty-free-deodorant/. And here are some for my lovely international friends: choosecrueltyfree.org.au/deodorants/, veggies.co.uk/tag/cruelty-free-deodorant/, and buav.org/_lib/userfiles/files/Guides/BUAVA_LittleBook_OnlineVersion_Feb2011v2.pdf. Note: Tom’s of Maine and Burt’s Bees also have great deodorant options and are very easy to find. However, because they are owned by animal-testing companies (Colgate-Palmolive and Clorox respectively), we do not feature them on Xander’s page or buy them for our household. The products themselves are still cruelty-free, though, and if you choose to buy them, you will be showing the cruel parent companies that consumers support cruelty-free options. It is one of those gray areas that we all must figure out for ourselves, and it is always good to make a well-informed choice! Happy swapping!!
