Despite whatever you say or hear about these TV singing competitions, one thing you must respect is that theyre getting the COUNTRY genre some BIG recognition on prime-time television. Ive met Caitlyn Shadbolt at a few festivals/gigs now over the past couple years... shes a great young Aussie, unashamedly country, superbly talented and I think this is not only the type of golden opportunity that she deserves, but the opportunity Australian Country Music needs to show their colours..
