Wednesday... After some rest, and lots of water today, I not only went back to work, but felt as if I were never sick on Tuesday. Must have only been a 24 hour bug. Praise God! I had an awesome day! Got lots done at work, taught a great guidance lesson teaching kids about the dangers and pit-falls of cyberbullying, was pleased with our how many Kali School kids made the district Honor Roll for 1st quarter, and was asked to create a display for our Honor Roll kids. Ill take a picture of it tomorrow, and not give away the surprise. Im finding here in Point Lay that not only my professionalism and love for students is well accepted, but also that my principal and teachers want to see my creative side, which is slowly coming out after being hidden by tons of paperwork over the years. I may have to start creating comic art again, and may be asked to sing at Christmas time. My ice cleats came in, so now I can walk around the village easily. Which is good for being more active while our gym and school are being renovated. We got our candy for tomorrow in, as well as our important supplies of powdered milk and coffee creamer. After getting back from the post office, three Inupiaq boys in the grade 2-3 class came over, and ended up helping Larissa and I unpack boxes, and they even had fun popping bubble wrap for us. One even took out our trash to the dumpster! I also got a little something for myself to pass the time away. It finally arrived today. It is the entire 7 DVD set of all 7 games of the 1975 World Series with the Reds and Red Sox! I watched Game 1 tonight! Even Larissa, who grew up in Colorado, got to see my baseball heroes play as if we were young kids watching these guys in their 20s and 30s play when it happened. What a great gift to relive childhood, back when baseball was baseball, and heroes where heroes. Best of all, God laid a friend of mine on my heart last night to pray for, and still to pray for. I wont mention names. That would not be appropriate. But there is a friend that needs a touch from God in their life right now. Im sure some of you also need Gods hand as well. But God supernaturally told me that one of my long-time friends needed to be told that God loved them, and that whatever the need was, He wanted to take care of it. Tonight, pray for this friend and their unspoken needs. Ive got to keep things confidential to protect them. Thats both the good Christian man, and the professional counselor in me talking. Im in agreement with any of the rest of you as well that just need God to take control, and just touch your lives in a special way tonight. Just know that there is no distance in prayer (especially for me being here in Alaska), and to expect God to perform even the smallest of miracles for in your lives. Well, Id better go. I need rest. Tomorrow is going to be a busy school day, among other things. For any of you and your kids that will be going out for candy tomorrow, I speak Gods protection over you all.
