It’s been just over a year now since Stonethrowers held the first ACTS 2 Gathering, wow how time goes by! Since the beginning of these gatherings, we have known that the sole/soul purpose was for UNITY in the Body of Christ so that God’s people, collectively, would become the voice of God in our nation once again and bring the lost into Christ. The testimony of God’s people in America has become weak as we have allowed division in THE CHURCH because of preference, practice, and precepts. The Bible says that a divided house will fall and the possibility of that happening is greater now than ever before! We know according to the book of Acts, when the people of God were in ONE ACCORD, the power of God fell and all were baptized in the Holy Spirit of God. THEN the church was added to by 3000 DAILY! The lost came into Christ because of God’s people being in Unity which ushered in His presence and it came in POWER! Ephesians 4:1-16 gives us a perfect picture of what God has in mind for His people and our dwelling together, many parts but ONE body. This beautiful passage of scripture begins with the instruction that we should bear with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the UNITY OF THE SPIRIT in the bond of peace. Holy Spirit brings us into UNITY (ONE BODY) because of His leading us in our PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THROUGH CHRIST (MANY PARTS). Unity is not a program(s) and is not governed by a set of guidelines put in place by man but rather an environment/atmosphere. The atmosphere of God’s presence and His children responding to HIM in total surrender! Each individual is not a mere add on but a vital PART of the Body of Christ, the Body of Christ is organic……..it’s a living being! A living being has a better chance of bringing the lost to salvation than a dead being. The Body of Christ, UNITY, is NOT held within the boundaries set by man through thoughts, ideas, doctrine, denomination, theology and programs. No, man cannot hold and control what the precious Holy Spirit of God is doing through His people. I began to bring forth a Word of the Lord 3 years ago “GOD IS MOVING AND WHAT HE IS DOING, MAN CANNOT STOP! IT IS BIGGER THAN WHAT MAN CAN CONTAIN AND CONTROL”, we are seeing it now and it’s called UNITY. Church cannot hold Unity but UNITY can hold THE CHURCH! Be encouraged today and KNOW the Love of God, HEAR the voice of God, FOLLOW the leading of Holy Spirit and KEEP the UNITY OF THE SPIRIT.
