Ive always had animals. I love to nurture them, care for them and the company of them. Now that i am single .......I have the desire to nurture and caretake even more than before because Ive not had an outlet for this part of my personality. Ive been without my dogs & fish, for a year! Prior to that we also had a cat and Ive raised birds. I cant do dogs right now because im renting. Ive thought about rats, gerbils, mice, turtles, birds, ferrets, rabbits. I am gone 9 hours a day and sometimes more. Seems so unfair to the animal. What pet would you recommend I consider? or should I fill that need some other way? I have friends with animals and I spend time with them, but its not the same as having a friend to come home to.
